What is Career Coaching
Career coaching is the practice of assisting clients through providing personal mentoring, information, advice and guidance in the pursuit of achieving or improving their career goals.
Our coaches use a variety of methods, tailored to the client to move the individual through the process of setting and reaching these goals.
These methods can include psychometric tests and personal assessments, CV development, interview training, career research, networking assistance, as well providing reference guides or materials that can move a client towards a particular outcome such as changing jobs, promotion, or discovering new strengths and talents.
Career Coaching can help you:
- evaluate your career to-date
- determine your real skills, career goals and ambitions
- find out your core values and career motivations
- work out what type of job, organisation or market sector would suit your skills and personality
- gain professional guidance, support and training during the career change process via a series of one-2-one meetings or focused group training sessions, combined with ongoing support.
By concentrating on the individual, rather than the process, career coaching should provide you with an opportunity to
take stock of your current position and re-evaluate where you want to go with your career, considering all of the options
available.
The right career coaching company will provide support and advice independent of the outcome – it is not just about
getting a new career, it is also about helping you to see brighter possibilities for the future.
This support and training can be provided in either group sessions or individually: although the best results will
be from individual coaching, group sessions will also provide the necessary support, our coaches always focus on the
individual in the group and not the group as a unit.
We always remember that we are dealing with real people in real life situations – YOU really do matter.
Career change, either voluntary or forced, can be an intensely emotional period, but with the right support at the
right time, it can often be a positive experience, allowing you to move ahead with renewed vigor and self-belief.
